Closed on new house last Friday! Time to celebrate with an 8 year old 120 minute IPA bought during my first year in San Antonio.

Logging this again, 8 years later. Mmmmm doggie. A bit more acidic than I remember, with the boozy burn without the boozy taste. A touch of honey and about 46 different flavors, hop profiles, and emotions. Like a fine wine, 120 improves with age!

Bottled 07/14/16. And this is one of two gems I found today! The years have been kind to this. Little to no carbonation, got pretty sweet for such a big boy too.

Unbelievably smooth. Would not think itâs as strong as 120. Picture what you know about 120, but in that context.

Aged bottle (4/12/16). Strong raisin/caramel notes present. Hops have faded but still nicely compliment the punch of the alcohol.

A long time ago, when our friendship was nascent, Gabe Hattaway and I were talking about beer revelations and he told a story of a vertical of aged 120 minute. To that point Iâd only ever had it fresh. Yes, my friend, four years makes this beer awesome!

Impressively deep. A hoppy darker IPA that now has some sweet caramel and oak notes. Aged excellently.

4 years old. Alcohol was mellow, flavor sweet. Nice sweet spot for this beer

Smooooth. And marks a big day, me & my most lovely best friend are 120% vaccinated. Crap stretch, but still fighting thru and have the best partner by my side to keep pushing ahead. Things be getting better
