120 Minute IPA (2016)

IPA - Imperial / Double

Too extreme to be called beer? Brewed to a colossal 45-degree plato, boiled for a full 2 hours while being continuously hopped with high-alpha American hops, then dry-hopped daily in the fermenter for a month & aged for nother month on whole-leaf hops!!! Our 120 Minute I.P.A. is by far the biggest I.P.A. ever brewed! At 20% abv and 120 ibus you can see why we call this beer THE HOLY GRAIL for hopheads!

I was beyond skeptical about it. The depth is incredible, more buttery than many bba barley wine.

Been sitting on this one for 5 years. Was really excited to try but a little disappointed. Drinks like a barley wine for sure but not loving it

(Never checked in last night) Caved and cracked it open. Wanted to wait but fuck that. Life's too short. This was as good as the 2014 bottle. The booziness almost disappeared

Happy long weekend to me! Kinda let this one go longer than planned, but not mad. Hardly any hops left on the nose, rich toffee and fig with some boozy burn.

Smells woody, little sweet. Smells of Bourbon, not a barrel aged beer though. Very interesting. Happy with this one, hoppy, thick, yummy.

Watching the 🐐 play in the biggest final of the weekend! Amazing goal from Di Maria. Won't watch a better match this summer. 5 year old 120 minute is an entirely different beer, be careful when pouring!

Hop bitterness have given way to sweet malty base. The fusel alcohol of fresh 120 minute has thankfully faded away. This might be the best 120 minute I’ve ever tasted

Celebrating IPA Day with this aged beauty from the Fall 2016 batch that sips like a barleywine at this point. Cheers!

Been aging this beer until today. So 5 years. Never have been the biggest fan of this beer while fresh. Aging brings so much more out of this beer. Easier to drink and you can appreciate the complexity of it more. Big, fig/date rich, breadiness

Bought a 4pk of these 5 years ago before I even used this app. Bottle date of 8/2016 so Happy 5 years 🎂. I prefer it more now than I did fresh. Still have 2 bottles that I'll keep aging. Got a lot darker than I remember
