Kriek 100% Lambic (2023) Johnson
While first sips left a bit to be wanted, it definitely opened up as it warmed and sat. Completely different beer 2 hours later. Delightful

Strong fruit, and deep rich color. A touch tannic in a great way. Thanks Dan H.

The fruit is even lighter here. Super delicious. Thank you Dan H. for the vial

Rosé de Gambrinus (2015) Johnson
Delightfully tart and still so much raspberry. I would have definitely guessed that this was American, if tried blind.

Tons of strong herbal notes. Like a bitter digistif, like Fernet. I like that a lot

Oude Geuze Boon - Bone Dry Mikkeller Selection Johnson
Honestly, bone dry is a weird thing to put on a label, but I like this a ton

Grand Cru Bruocsella Brut (2016) Johnson
I believe glorious would be the proper word to use. It's that. Everything you want from a Gueuze. Dry, wisps of funk, but a clean, savory finish

Grand Cru Bruocsella (1983) Johnson
This 35+ year old bottle (dated for the oldest lambic included) has held up remarkably well, both visually and through the sip. Musty and funky. Slight oxidation, but zero carb. Not anywhere close to "salad dressing". Tad acetic, but very enjoyable

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2019) Johnson
Actually surprised this is tasting so alright still? Tons of chocolate with a bit of coffee on the linget

Held on so well. No carb, but the rhubarb has a touch of cherry pits

Bottled 10/2021-released 2022? It has the old label though? Hmm. So freaking wonderful

Zwanze 2022 - Poivre de Gorilles Johnson
Harambe has spoken and he said "let there be pepper". There is pepper alright. It jumps at you out of the glass. The sip is super spicy up front (not pepper, but peppers), but then the finish has a spice like fresh ginger. Perfect food beer!

Fun to try fresh, but I'll be sitting on my bottle

Absolutely delicious!!! With the wine pairing and sadly the wine doesn't hold a code to this beautiful lambic

Ginger and lemon balm. It's pretty freaking amazing!! Definitely the best Nath I've ever had and made even better by this amazing little boy born today!

Oh man, this is so much better than the wine, it isn't even funny. It sos nuanced and delicious. A very tiny bit tannic, but the wine coats your teeth with tannins

Utopias Barrel - Aged World Wide Stout (2021) Johnson
Woah, not even close to tasting this strong! It has a fun European stout nose to it. A bit of brandy notes?

Oh dear, this was so much better than I expected. My first time trying Mouche! The elderflower is freaking glorious!

Rosé de Gambrinus (2021) Johnson
Holy jam! It's very deep, and intense. Would not expect this at all. It's a bit unbalanced with all the fruit and a very assertive sour note. Works great with food though and is much more enjoyable as it warms. Thanks Dan H.

Good Lord, she's beautiful! It's just funky, lightly fruited amazingness

Oh yes, big whale bottle, and it holds up to some hype. Lightly vinous, but maybe some cranberry notes as well? Lovely color, and never ending funk. 315/520
