Geuze Mariage Parfait (2009) Johnson

Honestly, I haven't had many MPs, and definitely none this old. This was tart with a zip of acidity, but layers of cobwebby funk that I loved. Def slept on for 'shelf' gueuze. CharGUEUZErie Part Deux

Yeah, it's old, expected it to be far worse than it was.

120 Minute IPA (2019) Johnson

It's still ipa! Woo! It's a massive beer. This is the most "I feel it" of them all. Thanks Patrick C. For making this happen

120 Minute IPA (2020) Johnson

Happy 120 Minute Day! This is tasting like rum raisin, caramel, sherry, with a touch of bitter resin on the finish. Full bodied and impossibly boozy!

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2012) Johnson

This is in an interesting place right now. Must have been some Brett here because this was actually pretty darn clean after all these years. Nutty on the nose and crisp apple up front. As I sipped it last night, it was both familiar and unique at once

A beer from a different time, but really it's held on so strong and holds up to newer bangers

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2018) Johnson

Coffee is going green a touch, but still nice to try. Crazy how 'thin' this feels in the context of 20202 pastry

Well poured from a carbon fiber, 3D printed lambic basket

Raison D'Extra (2006) Johnson

I'm incredibly impressed with this in both how it held up and how it freaking tastes. Oxi is low on my palate given the age. Just nicely a bit tart and sweet with no burn whatsoever. This is not a raisin bomb at all either, surprising! OMT approved

Love the new label, and love the new product. The oak and fruit expression here is near perfect!

Liking this a touch more than the 2018 I had in Belgium. Crazy amount of minerality, hints of zest and sap

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2008) Johnson

That's something else. Incredibly delicate. Funky, but not like you would expect from a 12 year old lambic. It was lightly acidic with a touch of apple and the smallest hint of almonds

Zwanze 2010 - Blanche de Quenast Johnson

Wow, this held up incredibly well. I definitely thought it couldn't had been older than 2 years, also thought it has some sort of bright fruit. Well, unfruited and old af. So I guess I need to go back to beer school. This was everything, so good

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2011) Johnson

We determined it was a Batch 2, which would make it 2010, but this will have to do. Funny, the Mounty that had to be removed a couple years ago tore off of the label...pretty sure Founders had something to do with that. Not much oxy, and still some maple!

18/19 vintage. Man, lemon on the nose, but it's got notes of funky melons with tart cherries. The melons are right there though and it's so fun! I'm in love!

Sumatra Mountain Brown Johnson

Ugh, these racist assholes brewed a really good beer back in 2016. The coffee is still perfect. Nothing is muted, it's super stepped up if anything. Not green peppers, no oxy issues, just pure, roasted coffee with sweet malt
