Nose was barrel and umami; on the palate umami and some pleasant barrel character upfront but soy sauce like, very malty and kinda underwhelming past middle; no sign of booze for 17.3% but the absence of flavors for such a big beer is equally astounding.

No, this stuff just reminds me of my hatred for chicken brand essence.

Yo where the flavor at? Rich and boozy? More like watery and drunk. Super umami and soy sauce ish.

Nnnnnnn this is BIG. Almost sherry like. Very boozy. Thinner than the BCBS.

This aged amazing but gotta keep it at 4.75 because of how thin it is. Not hot at all now though I could chug this shit

This is an enjoyable fruity stout. It has a decent deep, but not heavy, body and an interesting malty/fermented fruit, prune and plum, dominate, flavor with hints of roastiness and wood to it. While It’s a very interesting, it‘s a bit too fruity for me.

When Jeremiah R. And I pitched in for this beer last year, little did I know, or plan that we would be opening it EXACTLY one year after it's bottle date "03/20/2020," the day he got engaged. I love you both and congrats! Sometimes the universe is funny.

End of yesterday's check-ins. This one was a great way to finish off Friday night. Smooth and strong. Utopian barrels took away a little of the bite on this one.

Boozy vanilla nose. Luscious dark chocolate edging on coffee. The malty body is sweet, thick and chewy. Hints of molasses, some dark fruit, maybe fig. It all settles in this tantalizing boozy body, that sets it all off! At 17.3%, it’s smooth and stunning!

Possibly the best WWS variant I’ve had. The age mellowed it out quite a bit from the first time I tried it.

Warm and boozy; live the Utopia aging, really makes an awesome beer that much more so. This is perfect for a cold, damp day or by a roaring fire, in a cozy, cracked leather chair. Thanks Dudeman!

Fuuuuccck. I’m drunk.! Do prefer the regular ww. But hey, this has its place and it deserves to be shared. I’m glad the world exists with this beer

Wth not looks like the 🌎 is ending 🌨️ Smells like it belongs in a medicine cabinet but tastes like that classic oatmeal stout that warms your ❤️ and body. Finishes so clean

Nice fireside beer for a snowy day. This has aged well - bottled about 10 months ago. Very silky and smooth with some hints of coconut.

On the list of barreled WWS variants, this is not a favorite. I had tempered expectations, but maybe more barrel time was needed? Hear our thoughts on Episode 364 of @cbcast here: http://craftbeercast.com/?p=2199

Rich. Chocolatey. Just the right amount of boozy. Drinks like smooth silk tumbling down your throat. A beer I won’t encounter again any time soon.
