Sweet, wood, sherry, a lot of barrel booze to add to already high booziness. Interesting to mix the wood and vanillin with the sweet hops.

WOW! What an amazing beer! At 17% ABV I can’t believe how smooth it is. Great night drinking around the 🔥 with GMS and 🦗

Exactly as advertised. A complex barrel-aged 17% quadruple IPA / barleywine. Love it

This beer is strong to quite strong, both in flavor and intensity. Additional .5 for being the first of my friends to check in this beer.

Tasted more like a barleywine than an ipa but man was it great. Surprisingly not overly hoppy. Caramel and toffee through the barrel. Sooo good!

On tap, AT the source, letting this warm, goes to a 5! WOW!

I can't believe they still have it on tap, it so good, I think I'm the only one drinking it, fine by me

An exciting blend of fantastic flavors. The unique character of a 120 mellowed by Utopias barrels. Similar to a barrel aged old ale, but entirely its own creature.

Utopias barrel aged for the win. Raisin/prune sweetness to balance the 17% ABV and massive hops. Non-Utopias barrel aged versions in past years weren’t this complex and tasty.

Very unique. Definitely tastes like a high abv but wouldn’t suspect 17%. Great qualities of an epic west coast ipa and barrel aged stout combined. High 4.25. Excited to try the 2022 non barrel aged version next weekend

One of the more unique beers I’ve had

Superb craft beer already & then Utopia barrel aged! Let’s say “couldn’t hurt” sipping this 17% snifter slowly

Lost some120 flavor but comes in strong with utopias hints

A maltier version of the original. Like the OG better but this is pretty superb; especially paired with a 3-day weekend

While cold: it is straight caramel with a hint of butterscotch. Fading into huge malt and a surprisingly light burn. Hops come through in an interesting way, mild earthy bitterness meshing into the alcohol and a dark spirit flavor. Unique :)
