That malty, sweet mouthfeel. Never seems as strong as a 15% and 120 IBU brew.

9/14/20 TW curbside, was hoping it was a '21. Some are better than others, this is firmly in the middle 🤷‍♂️

It’s a classic but a little too strong flavor for me. I buy it every once in a while for nostalgia but I can’t say I enjoy it four stars for what it is.

Lemon, strong white wine, subtle caramel malt backbone. A bit of bay leaf and soft hop on the finish. It's unfortunate how dominant the booze is, overshadows everything else. Totally unbalanced but certainly robust.

Thank God this is the last of the gauntlet. Sweeter and less hoppy than the previous years.

Gifted to me over the weekend. I should know better than to drink fresh but the bottle was refrigerated and I had no intention sitting on it.

Side-by-side / 2015. Prefer these with a little dust on the bottle.

My strong opinion that 120mins are best within a year still holds true...but this one held up ok.

As fancy as it is delicious. Apparently this was a delayed delivery of some sort.

Ages well? I think not. Not in a bad way.....Malty, sweet, and boozy. But I can't imagine giving this a 4.7 about 4 months after bottling. Maybe better warm(er)?

(bottled 15 September 2020). Quite boozy, low carbonation. Sweet, malty and still hoppy.

Bottled 9/15/20. Strong bitterness that lasts until the next sip.
