World Wide Stout (2016)

Stout - Imperial / Double

Brewed with a ridiculous amount of barley, World Wide Stout is dark, rich, roasty and complex. This ageable ale clocks in at 15-20% ABV and has a depth more in line with a fine port than with a can of cheap, mass-marketed beer.

Still one of the best imperial stouts around. Holding on to this for a couple years made it a bit more fruity but worth the wait.

this one aged into a wondefully rich stout. Alcohol bite tamed down but left with a thick coffee and roasted barley taste. Glad to have held onto this one!

I think four years in the cellar has improved this. Alcohol bite has mellowed. I get dried stone fruits and fudge. It's thick and the finish is long like a good bourbon. Great to celebrate homeownership with a beer I've been saving.

👃- raisin, light barrel, cherry, chocolate 👅- bitter cherry leads the way, w/ strong boozy notes mid, followed by hint of raisin. Finishes w/ heat and is intensely warming as it lingers. Full-bodied and maintains some bubbly carbonation.

Just the best long aged stout. Only thing that holds it back from a 5 is mouthfeel and no barrel.

Still tasting great after 5 years. Smooth creamy dark chocolate and raisin. No oxidation! Booze is hardly noticeable, its really well integrated.

Wow, grinning war to ear. This monster has really enjoyed it's time in the dark. Huge boozey nose, but very smooth. Enjoyed this over the course of an hour, as usual, got better as it warmed up. The last sip was the best of the bottle. Layers of flavor...
