I think it would be a lot better if it was some kind of barrel aged instead of wood aged. The oak tannins just overpower the other flavors, still good though.

Heavy & smooth very good wood/barrel aged taste , nice drinkable & conservative abv. Slightly & noticeable sweet aftertaste.

Despite the generous honey flavor, this may be the driest imperial/double stout I've ever had. Slight umami presence. Roasty finish. Every bit as complicated as its namesake. Probably deserves a new style. Imperial dry stout. I like it.

Aged since 2016, still Woodley still a bit of burn but flavor is better than I remember!
