I think this has been sitting in my celler for a year and a half two years maybe. Still good.

Despite the generous honey flavor, this may be the driest imperial/double stout I've ever had. Slight umami presence. Roasty finish. Every bit as complicated as its namesake. Probably deserves a new style. Imperial dry stout. I like it.

Aged since 2016, still Woodley still a bit of burn but flavor is better than I remember!

The last of my stash. Not sure if they'll ever make the base beer again. Still prefer the non wood aged version but this is still great. The original version was my first beer to really splurge on and I still remember drinking it on Rainey St. in Austin.

That was good! There’s a dryness but it was expected with oak.

This stout is a fusion of a Russian Imperial Stout aged in American oak and an Ethiopian Tej Honey Beer aged in Paraguayan Palo Santo Wood, resulting in a thick, rich brew. The wood-aged flavors are subtle but definitely present.

One sip of BB will remind the most cantankerous of old school beer nerds why DH were and still are a top tier player. Pouring a bold pitch black with a small but resilient brown head, the nose is complex. Plum, wine coffee, black licorice, and soy sauce

I bought this specifically for the name. But this wood aged is pretty damn tasty honestly. You can really taste it. The beer has good flavor too. This check-in didn't go through last night
