Mellowed slightly since cellaring. Two more still chilling

It was good, but think the lower rating comes from trying the actual Utopia before hand, plus having a bunch of other good stuff.

Prefer last year’s more, but this is very good considering the expansion

A very nice bourbon barrel-aged Stout made by Dogfish. Starts malty and slightly coffeeish with a caramel and vanilla yet bourbon bozzy finish. Aged on Sam Adams Utopias barrels. Pride of Delaware

Boozy beast. Little thin. Good sweet notes upfront with a booze background on the finish

Tastes more like 25 horsepower - sheesh. Thin and boozy as fuck, but once it warms and breathes, it's a nice, chocolately BA. 4.35/5.

A lot of hype. Haven’t had anything from DFH in quite awhile. Maybe I’ll buy a bottle of Utopia this year if I see it.

Barrel gives the base stout a big sweetness to it. Very good.

It’s very boozy! I know it’s supposed to be, it’s 17.2% abv! The stout comes off a little thin but it’s flavorful AF! Figs, dates, dark cherries, caramel & an enormous barrel presence! It’s a sipper and I’m glad I split it with my wife!

Very lucky to be able to get my hands on one of these. Pours brown in color with strong aromas of bourbon. The mouthfeel is on the thinner side with complex flavors of bourbon notes, some sweetness, and some smooth vanilla, chocolate, and roastiness.

Lot going on here. Heat from the alcohol on the nose and palate. Caramel and dark fruit. The alcohol lingers on the throat. Not sure if the Utopia is taking over, perhaps more of a barleywine?

Don’t turn it down. Don’t drink more than 1. I got a blueberry syrup thing. 17%.

Smooth booze and a sherry-like finish. It’s somewhat think for such a big stout, but if were a bit thicker it would be unreal.

I did love it. Very barrel forward, was a bit thinner than I had expected. glad I have a few more to sit on.

Pruney, Brady, a little oxidation, quite a bit of carryover utopias character. Thx Julian

Way smoother than I thought and not as viscous as my expectations. Doesn't drink like a 17.3% if I drank it without knowing, I would say 12%. I am kind of missing a stronger taste on this one.

Easy drinking high test. Not sure I can particularly pick out the utopias

Really good. Needs to sit in the glass for at least 30 minutes to wake up the flavors. A bit thin for a stout, it seems more like a strong ale. The 17% abv is well hidden.

Tastes definitely like Utopias. Thinner than I expected, but can still pick up flavors of figs, cherries, etc.

Pushing higher......tis a sipper

Boozy, but great flavor. Look forward to seeing what this does after a few years

Definitely pick up some of the Utopia barleywine notes amidst the dark bakers chocolate and alcohol. Not too hot surprisingly. Minor ash and roasted char at the finish. Pretty fun to sip on through the night. Not too sugary sweet.
