Beyond intense: a crash of mocha malt, oak, boozy bourbon and a rush of wood notes. Tastes like a malty, boozy version of DFH Palo. Earthy, nutty flavors meet a cola and bourbon sweetness.

Extremely unique beer and the complexities don’t muffle each other as well, flavor comes in waves

The perfect amount of chocolate, caramel and malt. Perfect amount of booze with that distinct barrel taste. Too good.

Delicious, I thought it was going to be boozy, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Goes down WARM, but not super sharp booziness on the palette. Good flavors and balance

Complex and full of flavor - completely different profile as it warms up. Not at all what I'm used to, but damn good

Definitely let this warm up a bit. The ex Utopia barrel influence is evident. I have barrel aged stout fatigue, but this is well worth it. Boozy, mildly sweet, with raisin and mildly smoky notes.

Full mouthfeel, roasty and complex, improving as it warms. Bourbon barrel takes center stage, as it should, but allows the other flavors to shine as well. ABV is a bit scary. Will cellar the other three bottles for sure.

That's complex! It's hard to describe, but it's really good. So much alcohol that it's pretty flat, but that makes it more sippable.

Alcohol and prune juice. But a bit better than that.

Might be a bit thinner than I remember but still unique and tasty as hell.

Another hit of stout month. Loads of barrel, roasty and complex caramel notes. Aging really might make this perfect. I can’t emphasize this enough— DRINK IT WARM.

Worthy of its reputation an extremely drinkable barrel aged stout, soft smooth not too rich just craft brewing at its best

Barrel sweet. Straight up this bottle smells like Worcestershire sauce. Holy fuck this is a big beer 17%. Not much alcohol burn, but typical big beer barrel aged flavor I'd expect. Damn I'm not used to having all this real estate to express my thoughts

Fire! Thanks Justin. Hope to get to taste Utopias at some point. 😉

Surprisingly smooth with some heat going down. This is the last one tonight.

I'm actually at the Getaway cabin campground. The beer was good, sweet, with a lot of big booziness.

Does have Utopia 🎵...let it warm to bring out the flavors... Good heat from the barrel. 🇺🇦🕊️

No adjuncts with this one, folks. Simply a delicious stout aged in bourbon barrels. The stout is roasty & sweet with a touch of raisin tartness on the tail. The whiskey wins the show in ABV, nose, heat, & flavor.

BFTON caramel dark fruit barrel notes some cherry bark and vanilla notes

Impressive! Very boozy but still surprisingly attractive. Barrel aromas are all over the place here. Roasty, toasty & dark chocolate notes. Slight vanilla feel balancing the whole. Bitter, dry, warming & lingering finish. That's one hell of a BA stout!
