Thanks Marc E. & Dominik K. for bringing this belgian beauty back home from your trip! The fruit presence in this one is just impressive. Mouthfeel is extremely vinous & flavorful, with notes of yeast, a balanced acidity, and a complex & lingering finish.

Oh yeah! This iteration definitely lives up to the series name. Upfront & rich chocolate presence balanced by notable coffee & Bourbon flavors. Cherries are distant & barely noticeable while oakey notes round up the complex profile. Slight boozy finish.

It literally tastes like those blueberry flavored Brookside dark chocolate bites. Prominent Bourbon presence leading to a boozy & sweet chocolaty mouthfeel. Fair iteration starring that classic KBS profile, but it's far from their best beer in my opinion.

Beautiful offering from Cantillon once again. Appealing nose leading to an upfront and pleasant tart profile. Prominent fresh raspberry flavors with a very subtle vanilla backbone. Not too sweet, well balanced and extremely flavorful Lambic. 🤌

HORAL's Oude Geuze Mega Blend (2021) White
Lovely mega collaboration! Quite effervescent at first, it quickly settles for a balanced, smooth and delicate mouthfeel releasing notes of stone fruits, apple and yeast along with some slight mossy notes. Moderate acidity and low sweetness. Cool stuff!

Thanks for the share Dominik K. Way, way, way too boozy to fully enjoy in my opinion. Harsh & weird mouthfeel reminding me of a Barley Wine rather than an IPA. Toffee, caramel, malty & fruity notes barely balances the prominent alcohol feel. Not my type.

Different vintage, same rating! Exceptional beer featuring an incisive acidic touch balanced with an intense vinous & grapy mouthfeel. Delicate tannins along with a slight sweetness & notes of oak, yeast & must are also noticeable. Deep, lingering finish.

So clean & delicate, yet so flavorful & complex. Upfront yeasty notes with subtle aromas of apple, grape must and oak supporting a moderate acidity. Vinous mouthfeel leading to a dry and short finish. Such a lovely classic!

Backwoods Bastard (2022) White
Insane beer with an even greater brewers decription: "...warm smells of single malt scotch, oaky bourbon barrels, smoke, sweet caramel & roasted malts, a bit of earthy spice & a scintilla of dark fruit. It’s a kick-back sipper made to excite the palate."

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2020) White
Clean, delicate and elegant, though surprisingly straightforward & lacking complexity. Mainly on apple and yeast aromas with a soft acidity level. I was expecting more depth and character out of a Cantillon that's for sure.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2018) White
What a way to start this early morning tasting session! Bourbon is super present along with a great maple syrup twist and a decent chocolate & coffeeish backbone. Medium-bodied. Smooth & lingering finish. Living up to its reputation! Thanks Dominik K. 🍳☕

Finally I get to taste this iconic vinous craft by Cantillon. Beautifully balanced, round and complex offering with a prominent Merlot feel, but also with a noticeable berry backbone. Controlled acidity and barrel intensity. A fine & prestigious product!

Single Barrel 1-Year Lambic White
Always been curious to taste a young non-blended Lambic in order to better understand the importance of Gueuze crafting. Very unusual. Flat;thin mouthfeel releasing a subtle acidity & some earthy, oakey, mossy & yeasty notes. Lacking complexity & depth.

Still my favorite Cantillon! Impressive depth, roundness, and balance. Moderate acidity. Leathery, yeasty, oakey, floral, earthy and nutty flavors leading to a delicate, lingering, tannic, dry & peppery finish. Strong vinous vibe! Soooo good! 🤤

Kentucky Bourbon Stout (KBS) (2021) White
This offering, not requiring any presentation, is relatively light-bodied & features upfront vanilla & roasted coffee flavors along with delicate Bourbon aromas. It's finishing on some dry & oakey notes. Amazing balance. Total absence of any alcohol feel.

Delicious Stout. Genuine upfront roasted coffee and dark chocolate aromas. Deep and rich mouthfeel leading to a lingering and dry finish. Medium-bodied offering. No alcohol feel. Low sweetness. Just a very pleasant and nicely executed beer from Founders!

Vinous and oakey with a decent acidity provided by the rhubarb addition. Delicate, amazingly balanced and structured mouthfeel. Light-bodied & dry finish. A true belgian delicacy!

My first Founders KBS iteration & I'm not disappointed at all. This 2021 edition releases powerful notes of espresso beans, dark roasted coffee, rich oakey aromas & sweet Bourbon flavors. Extremely rich, lingering and creamy mouthfeel. Not boozy. Wow! ☕️

Utopias Barrel - Aged World Wide Stout (2021) White
Impressive! Very boozy but still surprisingly attractive. Barrel aromas are all over the place here. Roasty, toasty & dark chocolate notes. Slight vanilla feel balancing the whole. Bitter, dry, warming & lingering finish. That's one hell of a BA stout!

Kriek 100% Lambic Bio (2020) White
The Kriek style can't get any better than this honestly. Mind blowing cherry presence and acidity intensity reminding me of Jolly Rancher hard candies. Slight yeasty notes. Complex and beautifully balanced mouthfeel. Vinous and lingering finish. Loved it!

Rosé de Gambrinus (2020) White
Hell yes! A big beer for a big year. By far my best Cantillon to date with its upfront tart profile and genuine raspberry aromas. Delicate and flavorful. Surprising body density. The hue is very appealing. High quality Lambic blend!

Kriek Mariage Parfait (2017) White
Clean, elegant and balanced Kriek featuring a soft, yeasty and oakey mouthfeel gently enhanced by a dominant and juicy, but not too acidic cherry presence. Delicate offering which could certainly have handled a couple more years in the cellar.

More vinous than what I remember from the 2020 iteration. Beautifully balanced mouthfeel with deep and lingering grapes, earthy and oak flavors. Not too acidic; lightly tannic. Elegant and refined product.

Cuvée Saint-Gilloise (Champions) White
How lovely! Dry-hopping is marvallously balancing the acidity in this one. Refreshing, quaffable and clean. Still feeling a slight barrel presence. Loving the dry finish. Highly enjoyable offering by Cantillon.

This Lambic is quite solid. It has a decent & complex vinous feel with a very nice elderflower presence and some good oakey notes as well. Dry mouthfeel releasing some light tannins & powerful yeast and earthy aromas. Loving this one a lot!

My first Cantillon! Pretty much a straightforward Lambic with light oak and yeast notes, a subtle rhubarb feel and a prominent tart profile. Thin mouthfeel with still a long lasting acidic finish.

Can't go wrong with Boon. Nicely executed Kriek showing an unbelievable cherry mouthfeel and nose. Subtle effervescence. Thin body. Lightly soured. Very juicy. Not as refined as the Oude version but more quaffable. Cool stuff.

SpontanCherry Frederiksdal (2019) White
Beer or wine? I'm not sure. But one thing I know is that this beer is a delicate, elegant & refined cherry lambic. Feels like a bold & rich red wine with berry notes & balanced sweetness & acidity. Slick body, long lasting finish, & ultra flavorful. Wow!

That nose and that colour! Balanced, mellow & mild fruity mouthfeel sustained by a decent belgian yeast presence. Delicate, not very sour nor very sweet. Subtly effervescent. Fair offering from Boon once again! 🥂

Oude Geuze Boon Black Label White
Crazy good Gueuze. Indeed, really dry and carbonated. Yeasty nose. Nice barrel feel balanced with a delicate acidity. Aromas of green apples and grapefruits. Long lasting & puckering mouthfeel. Very pleasant and satisfying Lambic blend here.

My first Mikkeller. Great Imperial Dry Stout. Intense roasty & toasty coffee front supported by a delicate amount of vanilla. Syrupy consistency. Dry & bitter mouthfeel with a considerably low boozy degree for such a high ABV beer. This one's a sure shot!
