Back in da Burgh so needed a heavy beer to keep me warm from the cold. Has aspect of a barleywine but on the backend I get some BA stout.

This is a solid brew. At the same price point as bcbs, this is worth price of admission. Bit spicier and dry than bourbon county..

Definitely a boozy scent, but still not what I'd expect for 17%. Familiar notes of brandy and some cherries, but thankfully not overpowering. Almost tough to get down with the booziness, but the cherries are missing in lieu of raisins, oak, and sherry.

I’m gonna reserve right to circle back on this when I get appropriate glassware

American stout through and through. Boozy bite but def not overwhelming. Flavor hits harder as it warms. My style.

Solid and pretty smooth. Kind of a bite on the back end, but overall very tasty.

This is fantastic! I get plenty of oak and bittersweet chocolate! It helped me (mostly) keep my head during a call (or series of calls) with my cable provider (Spectrum - avoid at all costs!!), that is ripping me off big time!

Doesn’t taste too boozy even though it has 17% 🤪Really like it! Thanks Laura B.

This just might be the heaviest beer I’ve ever had. Wow there’s a lot to unpack here and I’ll leave it to the poets. Thick, syrupy; rich

This beer is outstanding smooth rich boozy and malty with notes of chocolate vanilla and caramel

It was my birthday yesterday (and I didn't plan ahead to have something better cold, last night)... 🤷♂️

first time with this beer after seeing it hyped. i’m kinda meh. it’s certainly tasty, but a bit thin of a base beer for my liking. glad to have a few in my fridge though.

Last Extreme Beer Box beer for me. Black loam, sour plum, dark rum, Benedictine, dark chocolate, black bread, polished leather, charred oak, vanilla, damp mossy bark from a temperate rainforest. ABV hides until the finish.

I was surprised by the level of similar flavor notes with Sam Adams Utopias. We drank the two back-to-back.

The cognac flavor mixed with the beer lends to an incredible and balanced experience.

#NewBrewThursday - well earned after a tough day of work. 17.3% ABV is going down nice and smooth…

Definitely a good beer, albeit not as transcendent as I’d hoped it would be.
