The perfect amount of chocolate, caramel and malt. Perfect amount of booze with that distinct barrel taste. Too good.

Excellent stout. The high abv isnât obvious and it drinks like the best Bourbon Barrel Aged Russian Imperial Stout youâve ever had. Exemplary.

Delicious, I thought it was going to be boozy, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Goes down WARM, but not super sharp booziness on the palette. Good flavors and balance

Some sports writers just really struggle or simply cannot vote someone in as a first ballot Hall-of-Famer. Some beer drinkers just really struggle or simply cannot rate a beer 5.0 on UntappdâŠ

Holy moly, this is intense. And what better time to drink an 18% than Friday night of a three-day weekend?

Definitely let this warm up a bit. The ex Utopia barrel influence is evident. I have barrel aged stout fatigue, but this is well worth it. Boozy, mildly sweet, with raisin and mildly smoky notes.

Complex and full of flavor - completely different profile as it warms up. Not at all what I'm used to, but damn good

No where near as good as when I last had itâŠNot sure what happened, but âblandâ is only way to describe

Last one of the evening. Definitely tastes more like a barleywine than a stout.

Boozy barrel flavored almost stronger than the classic string stout taste. Not as thick as I expected. Shared with sister. #ExtremeBeerBox

This oneâs almost immediately going to my head. Leather & black licorice & dark red wine & black coffee & black rum & 88% darkest chocolate. As the label says, itâs ârich, roasty, & complex.â As it warms, itâs even more intense, & it becomes Kraken-like.

Definitely has the WWS characteristic. Cacao, hint of smoke, wood, cherry and caramel.

I get dark chocolate, raisins, prune, tobacco, light vanilla, with a coffee like bitterness on the tail end. Some boozy heat evident as well as it warms.

Full mouthfeel, roasty and complex, improving as it warms. Bourbon barrel takes center stage, as it should, but allows the other flavors to shine as well. ABV is a bit scary. Will cellar the other three bottles for sure.

Molasses and raisin forward with subtle fig notes. Warmth and the high ABV hidden extremely well.

FLN, doesn't feel like 17% at all.. smooth, mild sweetness up front moves to nice toasted caramel bitterness that never offends the palette.. a real nice beer.. 4.35

Christmas present from my buddy Aaron. Holy shit this beer is phenomenal!! A 17% beer should not be this smooth! I've been trying to get the Utopias for a few years now, glad i finally have it! Dogfish, fantastic beer as always!
