Out of the cellar comes this well-aged monster. The hop edges have worn off and tastes more like a barleywine/whiskey mix-in a good way.

Aged 8 years and opened to celebrate 8 days of my daughter’s life. Lost a lot of its carbonation but still super smooth and boozy. Mellow fruit like raisins and balanced by bright hops. I think I’ll open it a little earlier next time.

Bottled May 2014! Boozy sweetness for days! Wow! I’m convinced now more than ever that 120 IPAs are best if they’re at least 5 years old

Been a bit since I opened one of these. Smooth & malty, enough hop to keep it from being too sweet. Very barley wine ish. A touch past its prime, have a few more to finish. And some heavy rain.

8 years old and still boozy. Tastes a lot like I'm not going to work tomorrow

Last of the basement stash! Gotta break it out on 1/20, of course. Still tasting good.

Another from the 10 year retirement vertical. Had some sediment, but oh so smooth.

Dark fruity cherry and plums, caramel, dusty divineitude. #FirepitFridaySaturdayEdition

Nine years old. Heavy, rich, strong. I like 120 better fresh.

10 years ought to be enough, eh? And found a guy with a 2017! Had no idea these were 18%+. And definitely tasted like that... a hoppy strong ale/barleywine. Enjoyed it, actually.

Drinks more like a barely wine but still delicious and still can fuck you up

I mean, the 2011 was phenomenal and the 2015 was excellent, how could this one be any different?

6 years aging leaves a ton of apricot and oddly enough a good deal of carbonation

Ages very well. Jack R. you’d be proud of me for letting this age this long. Forgot to check this in last night.

Astounding. Time has been most kind to this beer, smoothing out any roughness and creating a hop jewel. Deep malty notes with some florals.

Incredible how well this has held up for 10 years. Echo my last statements — if there’s a nuclear holocaust, this beer is as good as canned food. So much malt and hops, still! Really excellent and you can’t age it too long
