Aged very well. Definite sherry notes, but the cake flavors came out without overpowering. I bought this on a 40th birthday trip and opened it for my 45th birthday.

Funky dark fruit nose, honey sweet and bitter, malty, Barleywinesque, syrupy warm hints of chocolate and cherry, sour is more in nose, cherries finish the palate

This one has aged very well. Thick, rich and way less boozy now. Yum.

Very special and very unique taste. Rated a little higher than I usually would because it’s so special. You can definitely taste the cherries!

Celebrating Dogfish Head's 25th Anniversary and the end of a crazy year with a beer from their 20th anniversary. Never had this one fresh, but still tasting lots of cherry and a hint of that chocolate.

Pours like slightly thined syrup. Dark brown color. Smells sweet and boozy. Very lightly carbonated. Tastes heavy, boozy, slightly sweet but very smooth. Glad i aged it 5 years. Good start to 2021

5 years aged, even better than the first time. The tart cherries have mellowed and it now lets the chocolate through

Whoooooaaaaaaaaaa holy shit. This is complex. Lovely after aging. Buttery smooth. Slightly warming effect. Perfect amount of added flavors. Holy crap

Unusual. Too sweet but otherwise good. I'm not usually into candy beer but this ain't bad.

Thick and syrupy cherry booze bomb. Ethanol hit is tamed by the faint chocolate. In the end, surprisingly drinkable for 17%

2015 .. thicc mouth feel , carb came and went quickly but hasn’t taken away fro how tasty this is. Chocolate and cherry are still there. This reminds me of a thicker Soul Of. A Lion. 4.25 +

2015 edition. Bottle was properly labeled, however once wet, easily swiped off. Bump up from my original score +.25 due to well developed depth of flavors. Adj. entry from CraftSmash over the weekend.

Starts out like a smooth port but then finishes with a slightly sour cherry flavor. Chocolate still coming through slightly, but this one interesting with age. Not my favorite, but definitely not bad either. Fun RSD music pairing as well. Cheers! 🍻🎶

Bought it when released (2015) and aged for 4-5 years, then for some unknown reason put in the refrigerator. Just randomly decided to drink last night and fortunately still the amazing cherry 🍒 chocolate 🍫 cake 💣 it strives to be.
