bfln. Age paid off. Booze is definitely prominent but the aroma is alluring, and the cherry chocolate cake buried underneath the booze is tasty. Guessing it can age longer even

Boozy. Cherry is still there along with the chocolate. Actually pretty tasty

2014 bottle opened today. The aroma and flavor are rich malt, cherries/cherry juice and a little chocolate. The flavor reveals a strong sweetness and alcohol presence too. Mouthfeel is rich, boozy (even though well aged). and sweet. Like a nice cognac

Угостили как-то в Рыжем Эрике. Плотное, сладкое, чем-то напомнило херес или мадеру.

Five years later.. my goodness how this has changed. Mellow, creamy chocolate and cherry. Smooth and deliscious. Sweet but not too sweet.

Surprisingly true to label for being 8 years old. Good cherry tartness, with a bitter chocolate note. Thank you Brian A.

Seemed a good option for unique beer #2000 on New Year's Eve! The cherry sour notes are prominent and the chocolate is a good compliment. This is a strong beer for sure, and it is a bit boozy. But delicious and well aged!

Sweet Belgian fruit and spice with mild cocoa notes. Finishes with sticky cherry sweetness and surprisingly smooth finish. Bottled 10/20/2015. Booziness is more subdued than when fresh. Sweetness is still prominent but less syrupy.

I think this has continued to improve as it’s aged (in my cellar) - 9 years after it was bottled and it’s smoother than ever.
