Chocolate, raisins, vanilla. Surprisingly smooth for the ABV. Thanks for sharing Kev

Sitting for 6 years. Maybe a bit too long. Still notes of chocolate and some vanilla but thinner than expected.

Hanging onto a good bit of body. Not too boozy, a dry finish. Chocolate the whole way down. Drinks like a 6, but hits like a 16. Tread lightly. Definitely not falling off yet.

This aged magnificently for a large production beer. Vanilla and bourbon on the nose are still prevalent. Thick, dark pour with a light brown head. Rich, smooth body with lots of caramel, burnt wood, and chocolate. Still boozy and very malty.

What a delight. Vanilla comes through nicely. Will get better as it warms.

Graham crackers, vanilla, cocoa aroma. Heavy vanilla, oak, dark fruits. Complex and big!

6 years later…a lot of the vanilla is gone but still there in the background. Stout is bold and big and I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the massive abv. I think my lips are going numb. Could it possibly have gained extra in the bottle?

Tasting fine at this age. Back when I got it I heard best at ~10 years, saving my last bottle for then.

Operation Clear the Cellar I think the aging on this bottle might have made it better. The barrel notes held up, as did the vanilla. It was less sweet (in a good way) than I remember having it fresh.

The vanilla has faded with age but the boozy-ness has not

Huge 17% stout from DFH. Lots of oak and vanilla. Aged well.

Drinking at room temp. Didn’t notice it was 16% before I cracked it. It has aged well in my opinion. A little hot, but nice subtle vanilla and oak. Thx. RS #haul

Good for 16%. Not a lot of Vanilla, but my bottle was 3.5 years old.

I’d normally list the bottling date, but it’s been lost to history ☹️

Aged extremely well... Big, bold, rich, vanilla, smooth, roasty, boozy, port-like 🔥

Socially🏠➰🏡➿🏘 Distant SHAR3S #️⃣4️⃣8️⃣4️⃣➖Oakey🪵 barrel🛢 essence from start to finish🏁, subtle👌🏻 vanilla struggles to remain relevant, & a harsh presence lingering on the 🔙🔚‼️ Thanx 🤝 Dennis B. ❗️

Cellar aged for 4 years. Oak still comes through strong, no booze at all. New daddy celebration beer! Cheers!

LOTS of sweet boozey winey (think export/Baltic style) vanilla. As it breathes you get more of the roasty notes but that booze is dominant and will not be stifled. Keep aging them but they are drinking well now.

One of those "the vanilla just makes it sweet" ba stouts. You know the ones.
