Getting some fruit, grapefruit finish. But yet malty or like toffee? Original. Badge 👌

Slightly tart, moderately fruity, without any astringency. Complexity and fruit flavors are good, but it has an herbal note that causes the whole thing to remind me of cough syrup. ☹️ I don't really get any oakiness or funk, which is a shame.

Where's your Cru, Bro. Woody? They went in search of Dogfish and I decided that I'd rather have your Crimson company. :=O You're such a flatterer! My Head swells when you start in! 8=)

Seems to be a lot of stuff clashing in this at first, but eventually it all comes together. There’s wood, cherry, grapefruit, lemon, orange, toast, caramel, somthing floral; and hints of toffee and dried apricot and toffee.

Able to drink but something just wasn’t right for a red ale. Or maybe red ales just aren’t my thing?

Definitely an Americanized Belgian slant on sourness. My palate’s all twisted and puckered now. Yikes!

Wild smell. Big and malty, bread, toffee, orange, floral esthers. Taste is the same, but the sour comes through—notes of cherry, oak, and general funk. This is very different and very good

I registered it as a pretty decent, though noticeably more complex, red but reading the backstory netted it a higher score and made me appreciate it a little more. Nabbed out of the bargain bin to boot. Not a go-to style for me but an enjoyed side trip.
