This doesn’t do it for me. Weird boozy tart. Malty. Drinks like a mad elf or something along those lines.

Light, grainy nose. Lightly roasty malts, with a bit of grainy edge, a bit fruity on the finish. I was expecting more yeast character, but it is tasty.

This is actually pretty tasty. I dont really know what it is, but it tastes good. Its like cherry blackberry and decent hit of hops. A little bit sour. Its not like normally whats categorized as a red ale. I think its its own style. Try it.

I’m back from having a cold last week so I took a few days off. This red ale is terrific. Stronger than I thought.

Nose is minty resiny hop. Taste is quite resiny (not piney) and maybe a hint of juniper leaves. Too much going on here. Want some (non poisonous) sumac, this is for you! Strange hybrid of red ale and grand cru, and it leans more red ale.

loads of cherry and red fruits.. sour-ish, or maybe that’s just the fruitiness that i’m picking up as sour

Definitely a contentious choice, but WOW, it's blowing me away. The Grand Cru barrel aging's creamy citrus and fruit notes are integrated almost PERFECTLY with the earthy character of red ale. Probably not a combo for everyone, but a new fave for me 👌

I was expecting more of a sour but I really love what this is. Drinks more like an old school brown ale out of a cask (with a hint of funk). Smooth and rich.
