Brewed on Oct. 19th and 20th 2011. Bottled Dec 17th 2014. Lambic ale aged in Oak Casks for 3years.

Sharp tartness on the nose. Huge oak notes everywhere. ABV is completely hidden. I like it.

>6 years old. Smell of cheese, vanilla coke, apples. Soft, round. Acidity quite low. Sweet vanilla notes more prominent on palate. Dry funk on the finish. This has developed into a complex drinkable geuze. Drink it now.

This has an overt oak character I don’t understand coming from old foeders. Maybe it’s not actually oak derived? Also medicinal, some citrus. Relatively soft. Shows some alcohol. The least impressive of the several Vat bottles we’ve had recently.

A: wet woodsy tobacco soft sour mineral funk soft oxidation subtle caramelization. F: very smooth mild tingly mineral soft sour/funk sherry-like oxidation mild caramelized citrus/fruits finishes semidry. More oak vanilla & “citrus” vibes A&F as it warms.

Bevuta dopo 7 anni dall'imbottigliamento, ottima. Acidità ammorbidita dal tempo, corpo ben presente, cristallino... L'amaro dei legni si sente sul finale e taglia la bevuta.

Ik geloof dat het lekker is en vind hier zelf ook wel verfrissing in. Toch een stevig bitter foederke met stevige vlokken, hopelijk van vatje 79 dan. Bijna 10jaar geleden gebrouwen en zó smaken, dat is vakmanschap. Lichte gerookte toets.

Slodkie, karmelowe nawet, drewniane, skorzane, lekki grejpfrut sie przebija, ta slodycz niestandardowa ale ok, 4,0, s: slodkie, przez co mocno chlalne, sporo jablka, zielonego, lekki grejpfrut, pszenica, lekka piwnica, ale malo tych klimatow, 4,0 overall.

More acidic than Vat 92 and a much stronger flavor. Lived up to expectations.

Zeer zacht, zeer gebalanceerde zurigheid. Blijft wat plakken in de mond, aangename afdronk.
