8% double golden ale with grapefruit and agave. Not bad. Super light grapefruit citrus.

The original Green Zebra was watermelon by definition, but new can have watermelon on the label. Oh well, for this moment in time it is a unique entry.

Damnit, ordered the wrong one. I had this 4/7/23 at this Saucer. Oh well, I still like it

1st Founders beer I had was Founders Porter. 1st Vanilla Porter I ever had was Breckenridge Vanilla Porter. This is somewhere in between. Not the vanilla forward Breckenridge, but that something extra over regular Founders Porter.

Utopias Barrel-Aged 120 Minute IPA
"The Holy Grail for hopheads, 120 Minute IPA is continuously hopped with a copious amount of high-alpha American hops throughout the boil and whirlpool, aged in Sam Adams Utopias barrels for a full twelve months, and then abundantly dry-hopped." 2 of 2 β€οΈ

These variants of Green Zebra are even better than the base. Pineapple isn't in your face. Just blends nicely with that gose base.

Wheat wine aged in maple bourbon barrels. π₯° The more I drink the more I like it. Upping my rating.

"A super citrusy hazy IPA brewed with Norwegian Kveik yeast, wild juniper berries, orange peel and Danko rye malt." Interesting, juicy and a bit floral. Missing my drinking partner today.

Totally getting the chocolate, nice touch to the base KBS. Not getting the cherry, except a note on the tail. Would like a bit more cherry, but solid nonetheless.

French Toast Bastard (Barrel Aged Series 2022)
Haven't had a Dirty Bastard in a while, much less a variant. This is a damned fine variant. Tastes like french toast!

When an Untappd glitch shows you haven't had the beer while you are researching at the liquor store. Oh well, I liked this last time too! ππ

A collab with Rodenbach and SO MUCH going on! Definitely an interesting beer and seemingly right for the season with that sumac and sweet orange peel. Would slam a sixer, but one by a fire? Yes

Never had this before π² Lighter, sweeter than many marzens. I can see why this is popular. I get almost a floral note.

Buy a Fiat they said. It would be easy to park they said. π€£ The beer? The 1st Founders beer I ever had. Been hooked since. Solid porter. Leave the rating to honor that 1st one.

Description says cocoa forward. Me? Cinnamon first, then cocoa. Still fun. While these KBS variants are hit and miss for me, I do like trying them.

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter
Never heard of this series, so jumped on the opportunity to get one. Like on old fashioned. Tasty and belies the 1οΈβ£1οΈβ£% ABV. Get none of the imperial brown ale base. Not in your face. Enjoyable.

#coronapocalypse continues. DFH 120 is still a good beer, but it just isn't what it was in the days of yore when a tapping meant you had to be early to get a ticket to get a small pour. You can't crank up production and maintain that same profile.
