kept a year! fresh out the bottle was too acidic, but after a bit it really opened up nicely!! soft lemony citrus, apricot and stonefruit! :)

Beer Geek Vanilla Shake BA (2016) Choo

smooth whisky, slight sweetness. coffee aged really well, doesn’t have that green pepper bitterness. vanilla ending, hints of chocolate. thanks Yancheng C. !!!

Fou' Foune (2017) Choo

tart acidic apricot skin, end funkiness more akin to heaty chempedak. when warm, the end heatiness dulls to rich sweet apricot flesh.

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2014) Choo

funk, slightly sweet and tart, with rounded fruitiness. oak woodiness accentuates the ending, longer note as it warms. prefer it slightly cold to keep the acidity and bite.

Grand Cru Bruocsella Brut (2016) Choo

tart green apple, not very vinegary. bit young? slightly acidic as it warms, then dry slightly bitter finish.

Rosé De Gambrinus (2022) Choo

raspberries, tart with mild funk but missing that extra bite and depth of flavour.

tart blueberry deliciousness with heaps of blueberry skin tangyness. not overly puckering for me.

better slightly warmer. the inbetween of wine and lambics. flavour of more acidic grape skin initially then more rich merlot notes emerge when it warms. jammy winey berry bouquet, wood, some funk. dry at the end. so easy to drink!!

KBS Espresso (2020) Choo

roasty bitter coffee first note, then the kbs kicks in. boozyness well hidden.

George! Barrel Aged Bourbon Choo

nose of bourbon. dark coffee, some cocoa and then really transitions really nicely into the bourbon barrel notes. good balance of bitter/sweet. quite the sipper and has good viscosity and is q mouth coating. better mildly warm. LCI.

wow. caramelly nose. beautiful malt profile, meaty, smokey, peaty, umami. as it warms the smokey end note is more prominent. not overly sweet.

pretty bitter, similar flavour to the kaffestout. medicinal. the maple in the ending? required some imagination for me.

slightly tart go-up-your-nose acidic then really rounded beautifully sweet and balanced ripe raspberries. slightly dry oaky ending.

notes of maple, cocoa then coffee. as it warms, the coffee takes over but not overly. beautiful. probably overrating this but i thoroughly enjoyed it.

burst of lychee into a dry lambic. expected more from it. not a bad beer.

really enjoyed this one. loved the hop flavours and it wasn’t overly punchy.

roasty coffee with slightly herbal aftertaste. 3.8-ish. LCI.

tart cherries but slightly more muted than expected. some oak funk.

Underground Mountain Brown (2020) Choo

herbal coffee nose. herbal notes, some bourbon in the first sip. then dark slightly roasty coffee, umami, warming.

tasty. sweet, tart but rounded with the oak. mouthwatering. blueberry and currants.

Beer Geek Fudgesicle Choo

rich chocolate into smooth and sweet caramel, before a slightly darker nutty cocoa and toffee ending. when warm, the booziness mixed with the slightly medicinal malt ending which helped to hide it.

aroma of straight up tequila. salty with notes of dry citrus and tequila. when warm, the tequila became more dominant.

Marvelroast (2020) Choo

sweet vanilla and marshmallow nose. espresso and cocoa front into soft pillowy chocolate. ends with artificially sweet grape. yum!!

Geuze Mariage Parfait Choo

smooth oak/woody flavour to me, combined with barrel aged tartness and fermented yellow fruit. a little more sweet and less sharp it warms.
