November 27th 2019 bottle. A little sharper than I like for fresh kriek especially in the nose, with the slightest touch of acetone in the finish. Missing the cherry candy jammy funk

Fresh can Last at Keg & Kitchen last week. Used to like this one, but it was pretty rough overall. Tasted like a hop flavored seltzer

Backlog: June 2019 freshie. It’s bright, but there’s still so much Loon house character, and complexity. Wet oak, Brussels basement, minerals, lemon, cedar, and organic cereals.

19 bottle. Already getting more bitey than last bottle I had a few months ago. Weird nose, flavor is slightly sharp apricots, and off chem. So hard to time Fou Foune

TBT: thanks Tom for another stupid 🐳 loon treat. Favorite beer of the night for me: wet wood, basement funk, white wine, grapes, lemon, and Christmas chestnuts at the Grand Floridian. Magnificent

Throwback Thursday: the legendary Cellar Dinner at Monks on 4/10/12. This was prob the best beer event I’ve ever attended especially at $85 bucks for insane dusty whales and 5 courses of food. Wood, lemon, barn, apricot. So soft and perfectly cellared.

TBT: Monks Cellar Dinner with Simz. (4/10/12). Sour cherry, cranberries, cinnamon stick yankee candle, perfume, lavender, and maybe some fresh cotton in nose. Green grape, dark cherry, and oak. 🍒 🙏🏻

Feb 7th 2019. Doesn’t get much better than fresh Cantillon kriek 🍒

Preferred the 17, but still really nice. More bright, but less complex, and less Cantillon house bacteria. Stronger acidity with prickly carbonation. 4.3

Ultra bright with some vitamins, minerals, subtle rhubarb, blanket, and loon bugs. Moderate acidity on a lighter body. Tasty

MCI from Saturday afternoon. January 2017 Bottle. Much preferred to the other 17 classic we popped.

March 2017. Vanilla oak, sweet, light lemon, pepper, and a touch of loon bugs. Prob needs 3-5 more years or maybe it’s just a global warming batch which falls into this gap

March 1st 2017. Nose isn’t the best, but flavor is great. Jammy raspberry, rhubarb, loon funk, not sharp.
