Surprisingly light, fruity and sweet. Subtle woody barrel notes. Underwhelming TBH.

J’avais de grosses attentes pour cette gueuze vieillie dans des fûts ayant contenu du Cognac. Loin d’être mauvaise, j’ai quand même apprécié davantage celle de la brasserie The Referend. L’influence du fut de Cognac était trop subtile à mon goût.

The aroma is great! The taste falls short of expectations. I expect better from Cantillon . Not bad by any means but my expectations were high.

Zapach winne, beczka, funky, lekko octan, średnio intensywne. Smak pół wytrawne, kwaśne, beczka, octan, funky, ocet, nie do końca. Batch 7, 2020.

2018 bottling. Quite honestly I was a bit disappointed. Almost totally flat, barely any funk, some slightly vinegary sourness but not so sour, not much in the way of aromatic fruitiness from the lambic either. Barrel character was very nice.

Paleish yellow, 0 foam. Aroma: white wine, grapes, bit alcohol. Very dry, fine sparkling carbonization. Flavor: in the beginning rather light, then tart, quite bitter, sour white wine, a bit tough to drink, but rewarding
