Last tasting tonight...it is a bigger challenge to drink these big bottles than to just get a taste. ETA: can't have a tasting without Cantillon either. A+

Got a good amount of acetic, still a lot of great cherry. Past is prime but fun to compare to the 3F2017 oude kriek

Happy new year all! Think I've cellared this one 6 months past its best - the cherry is still there but a lot of the tartness overall has dulled.

Big cherry fruitiness, very full flavour, well integrated acidity, dry fruity finish. Great.

Packs a tart punch. I typically prefer them a bit more sweet but a good strong cherry flavour and aroma makes up for it.

15Feb2017. Pretty disappointing, TBH. Unripe/vegetal cherry, subtle acidity, zero funk, zero noyaux spice and short finish. Slight balsamic notes. One of the more surprising(ly meh) Cantillon bottles I've had.

Damn. I never loved the Kriek, but this is so fuckin good. Cork was wet and slid out very easily. Cross-country move last January is probably to blame. There was some leakage.

Cherry jammy goodness. The beer is holding up very well at three years old. Still what I remember it tasting like fresh.

Raising a glass to Brussels, having been due there this weekend. Fuck Covid. Drink Cantillon. This is as good as it always is. Funky. Mouldy. Apples. Cherry. Dry. Straw. Sharp. Layers upon layers. A beauty.
