Creamy, medium tan head, persistant. Malty, coffee, raisins, boozy aroma. Dark brown and cloudy. In the mouth malty, roasty with raisins, coffee, chocolate, molasses, a little boozy. Some sweetness but balanced by a Roasty bitterness. Medium to high body

#schwarzbraunistdasris. Nightcap aka. Betthupferl - das Tässchen Mokka vor'm Zubettgehen, das Zückerli am Abend. Dunkle Röstaromen, gebranntes Malz, Espressobohnen. Aufkommend Schokoladig, gleichsam süß, Stückchen Zucker am Gaumen. Classy one, Ticken süß.

A solid impy. A little less sweet with age. Dark chocolate, coffee, licorice and berry fruit flavours. Smooth and warming.

And so it begins... A gorgeous straight up Russian Imperial Stout. Thick, sweet, smooth, coffee, brown sugar and liquorice. Just what your dear ol' granny ordered.

Rich, dense, and creamy. Chocolate, coffee, tobacco, dried plums, blackberry, cinnamon, dark roasted malts, bit of vanilla, boozy and winterry.

Hard to deny this is extremely well made, even by De Proef standards.

Spelt gives this otherwise by-the-book RIS a richer body, yet managing to avoid too much thickness. Coffee hints are delicate. When you’re getting too many pastry stuff, this is exactly what you need if you want a true RIS. Oh, and also: expensive!
