Costaude pour une bière à 7.5 %. Les arômes sont assumés, mais pas exagérés. Chocolat noir, cassis, anis, un peu de sucre, amertume modérée. Bel agencement délicat des flaveurs.

(2016 bottle) Thick, slightly sweet and smoky, lush coffee presence without being overdone, cracking bit of bitterness at the back end. Textbook Mikkeller stout.

Still great but I would say other breweries have caught up and possibly surpassed them with this style of beer imo.

LCI Very tasty but surprisingly muted. There was a lack of a good kick to it.

Nicer than I remember. Found it overly bitter last time but now the dark and roasty flavors feel less thin.

The coffee is intense, very roasty and bitter. Dark chocolate, caramel, more coffee. Boozy for 7.5%. Can’t believe I’ve not had this original before. Classic. Not quite as special as the various pastry stout spin offs though.

Nice stout with rich sweet taste, but still the aftertaste was bit watery.

Full, rich and flavorful. Creamy from the oats. Roasty & slightly charred malts. Nice coffee flavor. Dry and earthy. Can’t believe I’ve never tried this before.

Ultra smooth stout with coffee up front and centre, a really satisfying hoppy bitterness underneath and beyond. A classic example of the style.
