Making room to age some other stuff and figured I’d try this since it’s been about three years since the last one. It’s still too sweet but the bourbon and oak are coming together fairly well. Vanilla is still hanging around too somehow.

De modo geral, caiu. Percepção do pistache n existe mais. Acidez apareceu, mas n desagrada. Guaraná. Nem sinal do maple. N dá pra dizer q é ruim, mas é bem decepcionante.

Brought the 2018 up from the cellar. Feel like I might be getting a little oxidation, could be time to drink these. Sweet, strong & boozy. Lots of oak, maple/molasses + a noticeable sharp bite. Should I age longer here, or is it time to drink/share?

So, it looks like I’ve had this before. I kinda feel like I’m cheating, but to be fair the bottle does say bottled on 08.27.18. And I’m still not sure how I feel about this beer! Sticky and tastes like a boozy barleywine. I certainly can not drink much!

Her får du er spark i løgene. De 12,7% samt lagringen på whiskyfade gør at alkoholen virkelig træder frem. Man har prøvet at balancere det med ahorn sirup og melasse. Men det er som om en Ale ikke helt kan bære det - den bliver for stærk #øllefantlogen
