After 4 years still has slight ever effervescence, however body lacks. Flavor is still big molasses and barrel. Anv doesn’t seem to have changed. Still a great brew, but don’t recommend aging

After sitting for four years, this had a slow bubble creep going on after opening, like maybe its turning. But no, all good, just dated. Mostly cola, licorice, and sweetened bourbon.

Breakfast beers and whataburger, football is back baby! Maple syrup sweetness, rich bourbon flavor without the heat (age prob helped with that), burnt sugar, and Barrel woodiness

Seems to be getting better with age. Lots of molasses, caramel and pancake syrup. Also very syrupy texture.

Nice find from big c’s in their cooler. Sometimes that place is a decent Time Machine beer wise.

Color is getting, hmm, earthy. Probably past it’s prime but still drinkable. Everything is soft and melded. Still packs a punch.

4 years in my cellar. A lot better now. Not as sweet as when new.

Trying to buy less and keep chipping away on the cellar…. Will revisit this with another bottle in 6 months I’d say it’s hanging tough

Utviklet seg godt. Nærmer seg en barleywine med innslag av appelsinmarmelade, nøtter og karamellisert malt.

I’ve had a ton of new/different beer’s since the first time I had this one but it’s aging just fine and is tasty. It’s just not as high on my list as it was 5 years ago. If founders ever brings it back it won’t be this good just like all their beer now.

As for the CBS, this seems to improve and become rounder with time, less sweet and sticky. Although it's also beyond its prime.

Caramel nose. Sweet with a good head, strong hoppy backbone and notes of maple, nuts, caramel, toffee, and dates. Outstanding.

Definitely lost a bit of the depth. Sweet, burnt caramel balanced with a dull bitter finish. Booze is present.
