Revist after the 2019 release. I don't see why I rated this a 5. While it is flavorful, the body is very thin, and leaves something to be desired. The coffee is great and the sting from the bourbon sits on the tongue, but there are better stouts.

2019 release, not bad hardly any coffee flavor left. Probably past its prime but drinkable

Late check in. Cellar beers. Smoothed out with age, espresso isn’t as zippy but hasn’t turned. Bit of dusty cardboard on the back end but is mostly drowned out by a bittering cocoa powder, topped with some oak.

It’s football time…in Tennessee! This is dangerously smooth. Coffee forward with chocolate syrup in the finish. No heat or boozy profile to it. Thiccc

This has aged gracefully. Chocolate dominates, w/a touch of BB @ the end. Miss the #oldskool Founders. RIP🍻🍻

Aged 4 years to perfection! Thick, Rich coffee, chocolate but not too sweet, strong booze but smooth, lots of bourbon and vanilla notes

Wow! Huge coffee forward, bitter, mild chocolate, toasty, and oakey. Booze taste is low. Heavy, black, and not sweet. Very good!

Nice and smooth up front, bourbon essence has mellowed out nicely. Left some bitter coffee/cocoa on the back of my tongue, found it a nice finish.
