Aging helped quite a bit with the burn, but it’s just not my favorite stout. Too much chocolate. But this has mellowed out for sure.

2019 bottle tucked away for 5 years. Surprisingly carbonated. Hard to compare of course. Probably not improved over time

Last of my 2019. I think it peaked last year. Still great but the coffee is beginning to really take over.

You get some roastiness & a little bourbon, but it's a bit bland.

Can’t help but feel lucky. I thought this might’ve faded completely away but chocolate and coffee are still present.

Bourbon elixir boozy dark malty aroma》oily roasty w an ash bitter dark forest berries》quite umami coffee n a bit industrial saturation, a bit forced》excellent beer but less elegant than remembered》coffee martini w a berry vodka shot

Aroma:Chocolates filled with fig pudding. Oaked coffee liquor with salted caramel dark chocolate, bitter cacao beans over a sweet coffee martini with a blackberry vodka infusion. The aftertaste is a bourbon with winter spices accents. Stinted complexity.

Cellar dive, seal not good low carb and coffee and chocolate dropped way off, still good ba and roasty flavor

Lagrad över 5 år. Fortfarande kaffe med bourbonton. Otroligt… Rejält fadd smak, men finns ändå där. Mer grön paprika i kaffet, men även mörk choklad och uns av bourbon. Sista flaskan, uppenbarligen.

4/4 pack born 02.04.19. Had 3/4 April ‘20. This is holding but drink now, no aging left. As this ages, the booziness out paces the flavors. Only hint of chocolate w/ booze. As I’ve been learning & posting - drink all KBS fresh. Do NOT age, no reward!

Damn you Founders. Another fantastic stout. Complex as hell. Double coffee, yup. Got it. Chocolate is insane. I am glad I am not yet retired. I love Belgian beer but this is next level for taste. HoF - again!

Still drinking nice. Coffee and green pepper skin flavor with a touch of vanilla. Always a solid brew.
