This stout is amazingly tasty without trying too hard. This beer manages to be perfectly balanced with notes of bourbon, coffee, vanilla and chocolate. This beer should be a reference for all breweries attempting to brew a no-BS barrel aged imp. stout.

Hersheys bar with a high abv! One of the last old bottles taking up basement space and it’s still solid

Still smooth but the flavor seemed to have dropped off in this one. The 17 and 18 seem to have held on better. But still a smooth stout with good chocolate notes.

Still a phenomenal brew. My last one. Coffee flavor is predominant. Watching @DaytonMBB take care of VCU. Getting #Lowd

3 years in the bottle and it gets smoother! Thought its supposed to get boozier! Chocolate still there and coffee. Bourbon note at the finish…. So good.

2019 vintage. Found on the back shelf. A big ol’ bourbon barrel stout with some nice smokiness on the back end. Can definitely tell how aging effected the brew. Excellent, and I expect nothing else from Founders.
