Forgot how great this beer is. Bought this in Founders gift shop this past Saturday. It was bottled 13.08.2019...and has Spanish and English on bottle. Guessing this was bottled for Spain, and somehow I got it...Molasses. Malty. Boozy. Sweet. Bourbon

2018 bottle holding up really well, pours copper red, carbonation still, sweet malts, molasses, toffee, burnt sugars, mellowed out from age the maple seems to have disappeared, and I feel it is at its peak right now at 5 years. Drink them NOW.

There's nothing overpowering in this, but a lot of little things make for a stunning result. An average old ale is transformed by a touch of molasses, a maple soak, & a trip through a bourbon barrel. The result is a yummy & unique medium thick ale.
