If you still have a bottle, let it warm. Upon opening, you notice some oxidation and an aroma of dark fruit. As it warms, the dark fruit subsides to coffee and chocolate. Flavors showcase a warm booziness with dark chocolate and vanilla. Excellent

Feel like it’s fallen off but it’s still good. Lost some sweetness.

What a difference 5 years make! I loved this beer in 2017. Now, while still good, my 2nd bottle’s content is a shell of its former self. Subtle maple with notes of green bell pepper poking thru the roast coffee. Got any left? Drink up my friends!

I haven't bought Founders in a while, but I pulled this from storage for science. It has held up incredibly well. Bold chocolate, still strong coffee notes, excellent carbonation.

Found a dusty relic from 2017. Nose is sweet & mildly roasted, noticeable bourbon barrel elements. Taste is maybe a bit too maple sweet, but the barrel note is perfect. The abv not an issue.

Awesome notes from those barrels, super smooth, lots of vanilla, delicious maple finish, and a heart warming boozy aftertaste.

Recalling how much effort it took to get this. When it was still kinda in demand. Not as good as the 2011 version that Aaron spilled on the floor #cleaningoutthecellar

2018 after three years was pretty breathtaking. This is also great but I can't help but feel five years is a bit too long.
