Fridge cleaning tonight. This was a gateway beer for me. Really opened my eyes at the time. Sadly past its prime.

Decided to revisit this. If you look at the all ratings, these people are crazy! 4-5 ? Really? Pretty flat flavor wise and mouth feel. Get some roast and chocolate followed by a wallop of oxidation. 7yrs was a bit too much for this

Wow this really blew us away. I was expecting this to be too old but coffee, chocolate, barrel and not too sweet. Melissa says it was perfect.

Out of the 9496 uniques I’ve checked in on here, this particular beer provides the most joy when I scroll through all of the prior check-ins. It’s been a good run. Think I still have a couple left. w/ Stranger Things S4:E4

Thick and chocolatey. Still has a nice coffee flavor, though it may have faded a bit. Bourbon notes do seem stronger. Tastes more oaky/woody then they usually do. Still very good and for SEVEN years old? Fantastic. As always, thanks, FlandersNed.

Cellar dive. Ageing (under non-ideal conditions) has not improved this beer.

Drinkable but unfortunately it’s clearly well past its prime. Probably had to drive around to get this back in the 1pp days haha.

This held up very well. It’s a touch soft, but has nice chocolate notes.

Tooo parfumy for me. Had to give to Doug. Very floral and sweet. Pairs well with better luck next time
