Really love barrel characters from Founders barrel aged series 4.4/5

The sweetness definitely mellowed out! Nose was cherry, oak, roast, chocolate, subtle bourbon. Taste matched and everything flowed together nicely! Full body with a slick feel. No sign of coffee on smell or taste.

Needed for a short rib recipe...picked a 2018 bottle so there were leftovers. This is fading, but still good.

First time having a CBS. This is decently balanced of maple syrup, coffee and bourbon. Probably will not purchase again though.

Lost some of its pop with the years, but still super nice. Less barrel but still boozy, maple on the back (and better warmer).

Coffee and mildly smoky aroma in smell. Cocoa and coffee mixture with toasty and dry profile. Sweetness has disappeared. Drinks like strange russian imp.

Scent of coffee and maple. Taste of earthy coffee, not much maple. Dry and woody. Probably aged badly. Tastes like a disappointment.

Bottled 10/01/18. Probably the last bottle of '18 CBS that I have. The last one I opened exactly 10 months ago and it was exceptional. The same holds true for this bottle

Same body as KBS, and lots of maple. Aftertaste a bit alcoholic and not as round as hoped for, gotta find the 2017 edition 🤞🏼

My first CBS and....wow that is f*****g superb! Rich boozy black chocolate, freshly roasted coffee, raisins and burnt muscovado. The bourbon kick is an absolute killer! Smooth, indulgent perfection 😛🤪🤪
