Part of a mini-vertical. Lost the coffee, but still a semi-sweet and very smooth stout.

A heavy, decadent dessert. Definitely sweet, but it's a natural sweetness. Chocolate at front then mellows into lingering coffee and caramel. Only the tiniest hint of anything bitter, this is more fudge than brownie

First up in my bottle collection that I’ve been sitting on for a while, in this case about 5 years. My buddy Justin brought this back for my birthday one year and I just found out he and his wife are expecting so it seemed like a good way to toast them!

Shared bottle. Looks a bit oily, but otherwise what you expect. Very little oxidation for a 5 year old bottling and quite smooth. Drink now if you're still holding one.

An old favorite. Still big coffee and chocolate. The maple is less prominent. Still very good for a nice cellar selection.

Spent the day traversing LI hunting for beer in dusty spots. Good times. Found this “shelf turd” for $9! Easy to open & leave its bros in my cellar. It’s a smooth maple chocolate chuggable beast. The coffee has faded along w/ the roasted bitterness.

Cleaning out multiples from the cellar. Getting some pepper notes, which is atypical for this beer. Where’s that coming from? Maybe the aged coffee?

At 5 years old, I am not sure aging did a ton. It is super sweet and not as harsh, but nothing huge. Maple syrup is still somewhat subtle - finishes with it.
