Been sitting on this long enough. Nobody to share with so here goes. Mellow booziness on nose & throughout. Coffee flavor muted-almost nonexistent. Some sweetness from the maple. Rich chocolate flavor. Too bad Founders discontinued this series. Divine!!!

Bought this in 2019, almost panic saw 2014 in bottle time stamp, but label 2018. Still has a little head at pour ,creamy chocolate and coffee body, boozy sweet nutty maple finish. Nice way to finish out 2023.

The maple sweetness comes and goes in the very beginning, and the chocolate is a non factor. I love the coffee in this, however. This aged way more gracefully than the 2017 version. Really well done

More chocolate on the 2018, whereas the 2017 was heavier maple flavor. Both delicious.

Retained a good level of silkiness and the flavors blend together a little more harmoniously than the 2017 I tried. The coffee is still prominent but is tempered by a stronger booziness in this one. I get a bit more of a darker malt on this one as well.

Endnu en god udgave af Founders Breakfast Stout. Denne gang med Ahorn sirup og den sødme træder (lidt for) kraftigt igennem. Det betyder også at fornemmelsen af alkohol er tydeligere. Lækre noter af kaffe, chokolade og ristet malt. #ØlsmagningHosAnker
