Opaque dark brown-black with fluffy tan head & outstanding lacing. Bourbon-barrel nose & taste; add roasted chocolate-malt flavor. Coffee, maple syrup & smoky bacon complete this wonderful stout. All of that written, the creamy mouthfeel is remarkable.

Superb. I get it all. The coffee and chocolate is there but the maple syrup is a delightful sweetness that is enhanced by the years. Always thankful for great friends who share.

I just had a sample of this guy. While it was definitely very flavourful, it packs quite a punch, so be prepared.

Maple and coffee has mellowed nicely. I wish the brew had a bit more ABV but I’m guessing cellaring took that away. It’s thin but I’m thinking it was thin to begin with back in the day.
