En högklassig porter med mörk choklad, vanilj, lakrits och bourbon. Den utlovade lönnsirapen vilar snyggt i bakgrunden. En riktigt fin värmare!

Maple and vanilla indeed! Also some heavy liquorice at the start which gives some space when warmed up.

Flot sort øl med masser af lysebrunt skum. Tydelig vanilje og cacao i duften. Dejlig blød med en del syrlighed i de første slurke. Kraftig vanilje og cacao i smagen. Syrlighed en aftager med antallet af slurke. Lækker om end lidt "tynd" porter. Gerne igen

Chocolade en een aangename koffiebitterheid. Vanille komt duidelijk door en op de achtergrond wat maple. Mooi zacht/romig bier. Barrel duidelijk op de achtergrond maar zorgt voor een mooi geheel.

Solid, good beer. Still a porter for sure, on the sweet side, but decent balance.

After 10 months I finally smell & taste a significant amount of bourbon. But only when it's cold? As it warms it goes back to too much maple/vanilla. But the bourbon comes in stronger than it did before even when warm. So aged & cold for best flavor!

Nice to taste a porter from Founders for a while (after usual IS’s). These guys are usually pretty good in working with the BBA so it compliments the beer and here is no exception. I would have not liked a Pint at one go because of the Vanilla but here ok
