Bitter, rostad och en viss sötma. Lite för blek för att få höga betyg

Deep malt and piercing sweet. Some short bitey moments...mostly heavy sweet.

Cellared 1 year - Nose: berry bouquet with char and oak, an improvement over the ashen profile before. Body: medium with moderate carbonation. Profile: still bitter, ashen akin to coffee grounds with light caramel finish beneath the aggressive bitterness.

This is a bit too roasty in my opinion for a barleywine. It's out of balance.

Excellent barley wine, it should cellar well as the best drinking temp is about 70^. Great flavors, roasty and malty, two of my favorites. Highly recommended 👍👌👏🏻

House parties for highschool kids are probably a lot harder to pull off ever since Ring doorbells became a thing.

As Shriekback sang back in the 80s: Priests and cannibals, prehistoric animals, everybody happy as the dead come home, big black nemesis, parthenogenesis, no one move a muscle as the dead come home!

Damn, this one has aged for 1.5 years (bottles 03.08.21) and it’s still so malty on the front end and finish with big hops, be ready…if you still have one aging like me…hahaha

03/09/21. Still has nice bitter bit after caramel and roasted malts pass. I really enjoy this. Gonna have to purchase a couple more before they are gone.

Better after it sits for a year. 8/22 and it's smooth, flavorful, and yummy.

Smooth and malty and meeting new friends!

Love this series. This isn’t really my style of beer. It had over a year of aging, however still had tons of hops. I do enjoy the Carmel flavors in this beer… a lot. Rich delicious beer.

Still pretty hoppy after a year. But hops have faded a bit. Malty, roasty, Carmel and hops with a bitter finish.

When you have had a long, frustrating day, drink a barleywine. You'll thank me for this advice.

I’m sure my standards have changed, but this doesn’t live up to what I remember the OG tasting like.

Barley wine style, zacht aromatisch aroma.
