Black strap molasses and the darker side of barleywine fare. Big coffee and roast, barrel, oak, bourbon, an earthy nuttiness, caramelized sugar, dark fruit, then waves of cherry and coconut. Big, boozy and complex, lot going on here

First sip is very bitter for a barleywine, but gets better as you drink it. Nothing special, but would drink again

Gebrande mout en een tikkeltje caramel, nadien koffiedrek bitter. En een vleugje ahornsiroop ofzo? Niet slecht maar er zijn betere

Aged 1.25 years: smooth milk chocolate & molasses flavor right on the nose. Hints of caramel and roasted malt notes come through as well. Oakiness & stone fruit flavors are present as well. The bourbon flavor is a little overpowering

Donker roodbruin met beige kop. Mout en caramel in de neus. Dik en plakkerig mondgevoel. Zoete body met mout, caramel en brood. Stevig bittere afdronk. Prima barleywine.
