Not bad, just kind of lackluster for what I expect out of a good barleywine. Not as much going on as I hoped there would be

Pretty good. Not quite as memorable as I remembered it many years ago, but still worthy.

Big bitter flavor with a mix of floral hoppy flavor and bitter chocolate. Finishes with roasty malt and a kick of alcohol.

I don't think this is a barleywine. I'm not sure what it is. Not bad, but not what it claims to be.

Solid very hoppy American style barley wine, very dark body, almost the color of a porter.

Unusual: standard roasted malt, molasses, and port flavors open then shifts into a lot of green hop and prune. Not syrupy, no anise or root beer. Curious. Like a black and tan but b-wine & ipa. Kind of growing on me.

Been a bit since I've had a barleywine. That's intense. Love it!

Big malty grain on the nose. Bitter, dry grains team with dried dark fruits and black strap molasses. Needs some age.

A cornucopia of flavors dancing in my mouth. Some sweet, some back end bitter, and strong. Seems heavy fruit like flavor.

Dangerous at 11.2% — but worth the risk. A hint of smokiness in the aftertaste.

Tastes like an imperial black and tan. Sweet in the front, dry in the back. A little smoke/roastiness.
