Un barley wine plutôt original avec évidemment la grosse base maltée et alcooleuse mais également un gros houblonnage et une finale bien sèche. Les saveurs se succèdent, se superposent, c'est parfois le bordel en bouche mais ça sort des sentiers battus.

Geur is zeer moutig. Smaak is droog en bitter als in een goedkope dipa of dry hopped. Minder barleywine. Daarom lagere score

Candied fruit, caramelly with slight boozy feel and lingering hoppy bitterness on the back end. The sweetness is pleasant but it doesn't counterbalance the bitterness enough, unfortunately. Otherwise good.

Pairs excellently with carne asada fresh off the grill.

Big and smooth. Roasty for a barley wine. Really blurred lines here. It’s called an American BW, but there’s not much bitterness. Hell.. this tastes closer to a stout.

Bière très surprenante ! Barleywine maltée et grillée mais en même temps très très amère (70IBU). Bière de dégustation température cave. Pas 100% mon truc.

Doesn't really taste like a barleywine, leans more towards a black IPA. Clearly present: hop burns. Roasty. Malty.

From the beer cellar. Year-aged, but still a pretty formidable nemesis. Big, tongue-lashing malts and substantial hop overload. Yep, a strong and well-done barleywine.

Primera impresión a licor y chocolate. Malta tostada que seca un poco la cerveza y acentúa el amargor del lúpulo. El amargor domina mientras se bebe dejando un final amargo persistente

Een heel sterk hoppig biertje! Best lekker maar vond de vorige toch iets appetijtelijker. Genieten jongs!
