Not great. Tasting a little metallic. Never been my favorite Barleywine but this bottle is a little off.

Good flavor up front, roasty character that seems atypical for a barleywine, surprisingly little staying power. Neither bad nor memorable.

Lang niet zo bombastisch als ik had verwacht; geen gekke additieven als ahornsiroop, koffie of bourbon. En da’s ook wel eens lekker. Mooi bittere barley wine met een subtiele roast-smaak. Dikke prima.

Truely unique and that the hops and pine notes come though on this dark of a beer. Interesting taste twister!

i just found Old Farmer's Almanacs from 1864 and 1866. no idea where I got them. History is cool. And this beer rocks. And so much more left in this old box of stuff.

Dark and quite roasted for even an american barley wine. As some stated here, the bitterness is kinda aggressive. Some complexity still roams.

Hoppy nose. Thin to medium body. Roasty malt. Earthy, herbal hop flavors. Slight piney hop notes. Smooth. Good barleywine

Big grain flavor with dark fruit. Nicely mellowed. Slightly odd aftertaste with an almost chalky mouth feel

Not like your other beers. Get the best flavor of the beer is not real cold. Try and enjoy.
