Watching the Superb Owl. Drinking a Super Barleywine variety. The Rock, ceremonial announcer. This beer is fittingly one of the best to drink on an occasion like this.

Lekker zoetje, gebrande mout komt mooi naar voren qua smaak en afdronk. Erg lekkere barleywine.

I get this more like a porter with some rum-barrel like notes. Not necessarily like a barley wine with that roasty content. Nice bitterness to stand up to all that malt and booze. Not undesirable.

Paahteinen, hennon rusinainen. Aika lailla scotch alemainen vaikutelma.

Been looking forward to this! Strange barley wine though, with it’s heavy notions of roasted malts and unusually hoppy bitterness. Very aromatic, but also very hard to pair with cheese (which I love) and works poorly with chocolate too. Still nice anyway!

Can’t really dig the bitter mineral/medicine-y finish. Beautiful initial sip & sensory experience though. Honestly a really well designed old school boi, something just went wrong at the end :(

This beer in my humble opinion is much much better warm. I started it ice cold and it was a little sharp and thin, but as it warmed up, my oh my😁

Baller barleywine; hoppy and boozy and nit for the faint of heart.

Moi qui trouve souvent les barley wine trop sucrées pour celle-ci c’est impossible ! L’utilisation en masse de houblons en amérisant vient complètement dissimuler le sucre. Un peu trop même et on reste sur un truc au final assez astringent

Roasty, toasty, spicy and dry - lots of coffee as well. To me it seems more like an imperial porter than barley wine😅

I wanna know who decided to make 5000 gallons of Nemesis last year. Also, thanks because this shit for $4 a 4 pack is pretty awesome.

Fantastic after a year. Much more depth, lower bitterness minimal astringency.

Ei niin perinteinen barleywine. IBU 75 ja siltä se myös maistuu

More malty and roasty than your typical Barleywine.
