I would not have thought I have had this beer in the past, and recently too. Seems too different to be a batch lot issue. Sweet and malty nose. Bitter taste with booze. Better taste at room temp., poor chilled honestly. A sipper. A little harsh boozey.

Creamy, warm en vol. Caramelly, lichtelijk woody. Karamel - malty. Kruidig. Tikje roasty-bitter.

More bitter than boozy, and not hoppy, just bitter. A tad disappointing. But that seems to be Founders for the last 3-4 years.

Oef goed instapbiertje, zelfs voor een Amerikaanse barley wine bitter, maar I like....

Malty body, resinous hops with bitterness, dried dark fruits. Reminds me of german dunkler doppelbock somehow.

Glad I let this age. Delicious but barley wines hit of soft spot for me, Happy Thanksgiving!

Barleywines are really starting to grow on me. Such a strong combination of both malts and hops. There’s a lot going on which makes every sip interesting

Malty and full of flavor. For a barley wine ale I was pleasantly surprised. A nice change from the sweet beers.

A dry, bitter, back old school barley wine. Rich fruit and alcohol notes.
