Enjoying my one day off this month. This is a nice strong brew!

Has a nose like a sweet carmelly barleywine. At first taste is like a roasty chocolate barrel aged stout, then there a tootsie roll thing, then it kind of rolls through a peppery thing and finishes off with a little bitterness hanging on.

Interesting flavor…..never really got into barleywines before

Wow, there's a lot going on here. Earthy and deep with burnt caramel, dark fruits, and pine resin on the finish. Big and bitter and bold and boozy without an ounce of shame.

Fascinerende smaakcombi. Fluweelzachte barleywine met bittere afdronk. Is op zich wel iets voor mij zo'n (rare) combi maar de bittere afdronk is echt té.

Good beer. Not going to seek it again. I expected more malt. More of a thick barley wine. Didn’t happen. Didn’t dislike it though. #WhiskeyHell

So not a Barleywine. But excellent as a Black IPA.

Strong alcohol aroma. Malty and alcoholic. Dark fruit and dark caramel. Slight hoppy bitterness after taste.

Nice and bitter backed by sweet and malty roastiness. Surprised by the taste, I like it

Vind hem vrij vlak van smaak. Best bitter en zoet eigenlijk.

Kraftigt rostad smak. Fyllig med diskret sötma och lång eftersmak

Way more hoppy than I think a barleywine should be.

This barley wine is truly a nemesis. Not a favourite of mine although it’s by Founders.

A little hoppier than I like my barleywines but still good.
